Where to get your 2018 Local, Organic Veg

Hello Farm Folk,

Spring is here and it’s time to think about where you want to get your share of the local, organic harvest this year. Here are some great options:

ClearWater Farm’s Weekly Food Basket
With a mission to inspire young children to appreciate and love nature, ClearWater Farm created a Food Basket program to support its educational endaeavours. The ClearWater Farm Food Basket Program is a weekly subscription that delivers 9-12 organically growing fruits and vegetables to a convenient hub near you. Great farming practices, great people, great food. Farmers’ Markets
There are so many amazing Farmers’ Markets in the GTA. These markets offer community members the opportunity to source the best quality food — grown and produced using sustainable methods. While various year-round Farmers’ Markets remain open weekly, many of our seasonal markets will start up again in May.  Here is a list of Farmers’ Markets in the GTA.

Local, Organic Garlic
The Cutting Veg garlic crop for 2018 is on track to be the most special ever.  52,000 bulbs were planted in fall, 25 varieties in total. Included in our crop are a few newer varieties, including Guatemalan, Czech, South Korean, and Transylvanian!  We’ll keep you posted about garlic availability as our crop comes closer to harvest.

Seeds are going in the ground this week.  Salad mix, arugula, beets, carrots, onions, YUM!  Where are you getting your share of the harvest this year?

Keep Livin’ on the Veg!
